For adornments and item (notes, agents, containers), if Border is greater than zero, a border is drawn around the adornment.
In adornments, if BorderBevel is raised, the border is bevelled. If normal or plain the border is drawn as a simple outline. If BorderBevel is none, the border is not drawn; note, though, that if Border is greater than zero, space the width of Border is left around the main part of the icon.
In notes, if BorderBevel is raised or normal the border is bevelled. If plain, its a simple outline. If BorderBevel is none, the border is not drawn.
