Sub-menu of the Note menu (from v4.0.0). This allows a creation of a linked note as with the Footnote tool on the toolbar (called the Note tool pre v4.0.0). The note created is linked to with a link of type 'note' and linked back from with a link of type 'note+'. Menu values are:
- Add Footnote As Sibling. The new note is created as a sibling of the current note. This is the normal choice when in Map view and the only option pre v4.0.0.
- Add Footnote As Child. The new note is created as a child of the current note. This is the normal choice when in Outline view.
