Blind typing in view window

Tinderbox Icon

When you type 'blind' into a view window - i.e. where no note is selected - and the window contains no notes, Tinderbox will create a new note. This affects Outline, Map and Explorer views only as Chart and Treemap view always include the document as a top level note so a view of that type is never empty.

Depending on whether editing-in-place is enabled, either a Create Note dialog will open or a new note will be placed in in-place editing mode.

From v5.9.2, Tinderbox is less immediate in scrolling the view in response to the blind-typed value as the scrolling could inhibit further input ; this should aid using the feature where there are many items with a common stem to their $Name.
